Chapter2 : Civil Society

I know there are various pages available on the same topic, even i am copying and pasting the data from those pages (can't skip CCP-'cut copy pate' as i'm IT professional). Its just to clear my own concepts and get to know if my understanding is correct???
Firstly what is the concept behind civil society??  I know Baba Ranchod Das will get angry for my next line as its a definition, no offence... definition reads
"Civil society refers to the arena of unconcerned collective action around shared interests, purposes and values. In theory, its institutional forms are distinct from those of the state and market, though in practice, the boundaries between state, civil society, and market are often complex, blurred and negotiated. Civil society commonly embraces a diversity of spaces, actors and institutional forms, varying in their degree of formality, autonomy and power. Civil societies are often populated by organizations such as registered charities, development non-governmental organizations, community groups, women's organizations, faith-based organizations, professional associations, self-help groups, social movements, business associations, coalitions and advocacy groups "
In simple language Team Anna, which is fighting for Jan Lokpal Bill, Its a shared interest and also collective action, is a civil society.
The civil society in india consist of :
Kisan Baburao Hazare AKA Anna Hazare,
* Shanti Bhushan, former Law Minister of India and a senior advocate
* Arvind Kejriwal, an Indian social activist, also worked as IRS
* Prashant Bhushan, an Indian lawyer, social activist and son of Shanti Bhushan
* Kiran Bedi, also worked as IPS
* Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, serving nation with arts of living
* Baba Ramdev, given yog gyan to world.
* N. Santosh Hegde, Former Lokayukta (Karnataka)

They all are great human being, respected persona and influential also. Now in this era they are fighting for a very revolutionary cause.
So can we join the civil society or better to ask should we join the same. Why should we join? whatever is needed, we are doing. We are supporting Anna, gathering at places, forwarding mails from outlook in office specially post lunch and post evening snacks time. Sending  various texts in support of Anna to all my friends. Updating every movement of Anna and government on our Facebook status, twitter. Even wearing black in office. Yes this is the maximum which we can do? Question which is blowing n my mind like hurricane??? Am i adding something to that society? or I am just managing to write codes with wearing black and having a topi on my think tank. Is that support is enough for creating revolution??

  1. The change we seek outside is the change we should seek in ourselves...

How many of us would give 10 instead of 20 to the conductor on the expressway if we could??
How many of us use Cabs to commute to delhi from noida/gurgaon..when we know the money goes to the driver and nt the owner of the car?

We do choti moti dhandhli because that is all we can run away with..

Corruption is not outside, its inside us...All of us...
